Here we are, the final week of the 2020 CrossFit Open. So far, we’ve faced two new Open movements (pistols and dumbbell thrusters), we’ve checked off the annual repeat workout, and suffered through, arguably, the toughest Week 1 workout in Open history.
What’s in store for Week 5? Considering the movements historically used in the Open, here’s what’s left that could be included:

Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups
Bar or Ring Muscle-ups
Rowing
Overhead Squats
Wall Balls
Dumbbell Lunges
Step-ups
Dumbbell Squats

We’ve removed movements that are similar to ones that we’ve already used. One noticeable omission is the barbell thruster, which has historically always been a Week 5 movement. Of course, that could still be the case, but we’re going to take a chance and bet against it.

Here’s our prediction for week 5:

Predicting 20.5
For Time
2 Rounds
20 Calorie Row
20 Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups
20 Overhead Squats

2 Rounds
10 Calorie Row
10 Ring Muscle-ups

You can watch the live announcement at 8 pm EST live from Reebok CrossFit One on Reebok.com or games.crossfit.com, with a preshow starting at 7:35 EST. This week Iceland’s Annie Thorisdottir will go head-to-head with Canada’s Patrick Vellner. That should be a fun one!
