Are the Games moving to Jacksonville, Florida? That’s the question on everyone’s mind after CrossFit Games director Dave Castro posted this photos on his Instagram page:

The more likely answer is that nobody knows yet; Not even Dave Castro. Before the 2016 CrossFit Games Castro revealed that 25 cities had already expressed interest in hosting the Games from 2017 onwards. “From those 25, we’ve narrowed it down to about 10 that have really interesting proposals. Of those 10, I’d say six or seven are major cities” says Castro.” While Jacksonville is clearly one of the 10 cities in the running, it’s likely the decision hasn’t been made yet and this photo was just part of Jacksonville’s bidding process.

CrossFit is moving into the mainstream, and it will start to explode in people’s consciousness over the next few years and become a much larger sport and brand than it even already is. It makes a ton of sense on so many levels to move the games around to various major cities.
