In case you hadn’t heard, the 3rd edition of the CrossFit Invitational will be taking place today (November 9th) in San Jose, California. This year, Team USA will be battling three new squads for the Invitational crown—Team Europe, Team Canada and Team Australia. After Team World won the Invitational in Germany last year, the American crew of Jason Khalipa, Rich Froning, Julie Foucher and Emily Bridgers will be looking to reclaim the title when they take to the competition floor of the SAP Center at 4 p.m. PT (Pacific Time).
The competition is slated to take place from 4-6 p.m PT where the four teams will compete in a total of five events.

Event 1
For time:
45 pull-ups, 45 thrusters (female 1, 65 lb.)
45 pull-ups, 45 thrusters (male 1, 95 lb.)
45 pull-ups, 45 thrusters (female 2, 65 lb.)
45 pull-ups, 45 thrusters (male 2, 95 lb.)
Event 2
1-rep-max snatch
Event 3
1-rep-max clean and jerk
Event 4
For time:
Female pair completes:
12 synchronized muscle-ups
30-calorie row, partner holds deadlift, 275 lb.
10 alternating snatches, 135 lb.
30-calorie row, other partner in deadlift hold, 275 lb.
10 alternating snatches, 135 lb.
Then,
Male pair completes:
12 synchronized muscle-ups
30-calorie row, partner holds deadlift, 405 lb.
10 snatches, 185 lb.
30-calorie row, other partner in deadlift, 405 lb.
10 snatches, 185 lb.
Event 5
Handstand walk, 120 feet
950-lb. tire flip, 120 feet
Legless rope climbs, 8 reps
Worm lunges, 120 feet
At this point, tickets are still available to attend the Invitational in person, but if you can’t make it to San Jose you can always watch the event online or on T.V.! Here’s how:
- The Invitational will be live streamed to CrossFit’s YouTube channel, Games.CrossFit.com, andWatchESPN.com from 4-6 p.m. PT on Sunday, Nov. 9
- Tune in to ESPN2 to watch a full replay of the competition at 6:30 p.m. PT/ 9:30 ET
- BONUS: If you want to spend the majority of your Sunday getting your full fix of CrossFit, ESPN2 will be showing events from the 2012, 2013 and 2014 CrossFit Games consecutively from 11 a.m. PT/ 2 p.m. ET through to the start of the Invitational broadcast at 6:30 p.m. PT/9:30 ET.
