Camille LeBlanc-Bazinet has opened up about her decision to withdraw from the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games due to injury.
“I made the decision myself. No one else can do that for me,” she continues. “It was definitely a hard decision to make because I’m not a person who gives up. But it wasn’t about giving up, it was about being smart. Smart for my future, smart of my career.”
LeBlanc-Bazinet earned the title of Fittest Woman on Earth in 2014 and is an 8-time Games veteran. She knows what it takes to maintain longevity in this sport.
“She made a veteran move. I know this is going to make her stronger,” said David Lipton, LeBlanc-Bazinet’s coach and husband.
We wish Camille a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back on the competition floor in 2018.
