Natalie Newhart, who had originally posted the highest score in 15.2 with 441 reps, has had her score penalized. Her score was 14 reps higher than runner-up Camille Leblanc-Bazinet’s, but after reviewing the video of Newhart’s performance (sadly not available online), CrossFit Games directors decided to enforce a 15% penalty to her original score.

“After video review of Natalie Newhart’s performance of Workout 15.2, CrossFit Games directors have ruled that more than 5 reps did not meet the movement standards and have applied a Major Penalty.

A 15 percent penalty has been applied to her submitted score of 441 reps, bringing it down to 375.”

With her recently adjusted score Newhart fell to 4th overall in 15.2 and Leblanc-Bazinet officially takes 15.2 with a score of  427.

  1. thats crazy, a 15% penalty? how did they come up with that? its nuts. this is all about ensuring that that final group as photogenic ‘famous’ athletes in it, and not rookies that will disrupt sponsorship deals and the ‘face’ of crossfit. crazy.
