The 2023 Rogue Invitational is set to take place at the Dell Diamond Stadium in Round Rock, TX, on Oct. 27-28, 2023. The event will feature the CrossFit Invitational and the Strongman Invitational, showcasing some of the world’s best athletes in both sports.
Among the competitors will be six-time Fittest Woman on Earth® Tia-Clair Toomey and three World’s Strongest Man champions, including reigning champion Mitchell Hooper, two-time champion Tom Stoltman, and 2020 champion Oleksii Novikov. In addition, 16 Legends CrossFit athletes, including four-time Fittest Man on Earth® Rich Froning, will also be participating. While the specific events for the Invitationals have yet to be announced, the stacked roster of athletes suggests a highly competitive and exciting competition in Texas.

The 2023 Rogue Legends Invitational will feature nine individual male Legends athletes and seven individual female Legends athletes. The male roster includes Rich Froning, Chris Spealler, Josh Bridges, Dan Bailey, Jason Khalipa, Josh Everett, Matt Chan, Mikko Salo, and Tommy Hackenbruck. The female roster includes Annie Sakamoto, Kari Pearce, Kristan Clever, Margaux Alvarez, Rebecca Voigt Miller, Sam Briggs, and Tanya Wagner.
The Legends’ CrossFit Games Resumes
Rich Froning
Rich Froning is a five-time individual CrossFit Games champion and a six-time team CrossFit Games champion. He placed second in the 2010 CrossFit Games and won the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 CrossFit Games. Froning then switched to team competition, where he won the 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022 CrossFit Games. He also finished second in the 2017 CrossFit Games.
Chris Spealler
Chris Spealler is a four-time individual CrossFit Games competitor and a third-place finisher in the Masters division. He placed fourth in the 2007 CrossFit Games and third in the 2010 CrossFit Games. Spealler also competed in the 2008, 2011, and 2014 CrossFit Games.
Josh Bridges
Josh Bridges is a four-time individual CrossFit Games competitor. He placed fourth in the 2014 CrossFit Games and seventh in the 2013 CrossFit Games. Bridges also competed in the 2016, 2017, and 2018 CrossFit Games.
Dan Bailey
Dan Bailey is a five-time individual CrossFit Games competitor and a one-time team CrossFit Games competitor. He placed fourth in the 2015 CrossFit Games and sixth in the 2011 and 2012 CrossFit Games. Bailey also competed in the 2013 and 2014 CrossFit Games and withdrew from the 2021 CrossFit Games due to injury.
Jason Khalipa
Jason Khalipa is a seven-time individual CrossFit Games competitor and a one-time team CrossFit Games competitor. He won the 2008 CrossFit Games and placed second in the 2013 CrossFit Games. Khalipa also placed third in the 2014 CrossFit Games and competed in the 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2015 CrossFit Games.
Josh Everett
Josh Everett is a three-time individual CrossFit Games competitor. He placed second in the 2008 CrossFit Games and third in the 2007 CrossFit Games. Everett also competed in the 2009 CrossFit Games.
Matt Chan
Matt Chan is a six-time individual CrossFit Games competitor. He placed second in the 2012 CrossFit Games and fourth in the 2010 CrossFit Games. Chan also competed in the 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2013 CrossFit Games.
Mikko Salo
Mikko Salo is a three-time individual CrossFit Games competitor and a one-time team CrossFit Games competitor. He won the 2009 CrossFit Games and placed fifth in the 2010 CrossFit Games. Salo also competed in the 2011 and 2013 CrossFit Games.
Tommy Hackenbruck
Tommy Hackenbruck is a six-time individual CrossFit Games competitor and a two-time team CrossFit Games champion. He placed second in the 2009 CrossFit Games and sixth in the 2014 CrossFit Games. Hackenbruck also competed in the 2010 and 2011 CrossFit Games and won the 2012 and 2013 CrossFit Games as part of a team.
Annie Sakamoto
Annie Sakamoto is a four-time individual CrossFit Games competitor and a three-time Masters CrossFit Games competitor. She placed ninth in the 2011 CrossFit Games and second in the 2016 and third in the 2017 CrossFit Games in the Masters division. Sakamoto also won the 2021 CrossFit Games in the Masters division for ages 45-49.
Kari Pearce
Kari Pearce is a seven-time individual CrossFit Games competitor. She placed third in the 2020 CrossFit Games and fifth in the 2016 and 2019 CrossFit Games. Pearce also competed in the 2015, 2017, and 2018 CrossFit Games and withdrew from the 2021 CrossFit Games due to injury.
Kristan Clever
Kristan Clever is a five-time individual CrossFit Games competitor and a one-time Masters CrossFit Games competitor. She won the 2010 CrossFit Games and placed second in the 2011 CrossFit Games. Clever also competed in the 2009, 2012, and 2017 CrossFit Games and finished 17th in the 2017 Masters division.
