In a recent YouTube video, creator Jesse put 20 of the biggest fitness YouTubers on the planet through a brutal elimination tournament.

Six challenges, one champion, and $20,000 headed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Secret alliances, a shocking quit, and a bluffing finale kept everybody guessing.

Which bodybuilding legend tapped out almost immediately?

And how did one honest answer decide everything?

Luke Elsden Takes the $20,000 Title

Luke Elsden won the final showdown against Will Tennyson after outlasting a field packed with strongmen, calisthenics stars, and a six-time Mr. Olympia guest.

Here is how the six events unfolded:

  1. Wall sits: 20 competitors down to 12
  2. Deadlift or bench press: 12 down to 8
  3. Bar hang: 8 down to 5
  4. 500-meter row: 5 down to 4
  5. Tug of war: 4 down to 2
  6. Pre-workout tub bluff: one winner

Wall Sits Claimed a Legend First

Before round one began, competitors schemed. Some formed alliances, and one group floated a plan to prop each other up.

Bodybuilding icon Ronnie Coleman offered advice when asked for tips: act like you’re lounging on a beach. Then he tried the wall sit himself.

This is for kids. No, no, I’m out. I’m out.

Mike dropped soon after with a hurting leg, and the remaining athletes refused to fall.

Jesse’s solution? Switch to single-leg wall sits, with no swapping allowed. Casey, Kian, Eugene, and others fell one after another until only 12 remained.

Deadlifts and Bench Press Split the Field

Next, athletes chose a side. Deadlifters hoisted 200% of body weight for max reps, while bench pressers moved 125%. Two from each group were cut.

Deadlift Standouts

  • Jeremy Ethier: 20 reps, best of the group
  • Brownie: 16 reps
  • Paddi: 14 reps with a hook grip
  • Greg: 12 reps
  • Magnus: 11 reps with questionable form

Magnus admitted he hadn’t mastered the lift, and Kelty struggled to budge her bar. Both were eliminated.

Bench Press Drama

Will Tennyson cranked out 17 reps, and Husain matched him. Luke then surged to 19 after talking some trash.

I think I’m going to win because I never lose.

That was Husain’s pre-event boast. Brody and Casey tied at 16 each. Ronnie Coleman’s “lightweight, baby” cheers helped Casey surge to match.

World’s Strongest Man Mitchell Hooper faced over 400 pounds because he weighs the most. He managed 10 reps and was out.

A Florida Alliance Decided the Tiebreaker

Brody and Casey needed a tiebreaker, and fellow YouTubers voted. Brody reminded everyone of a pact.

I was supposed to have an alliance. Hopefully, they stay true to it.

They did. Votes sent Casey home, with Brody staying alive for the next round.

Chris Bumstead’s Bar Hang Became a Grip Nightmare

Six-time Mr. Olympia Chris Bumstead sponsored and picked event three: hang from a bar as long as possible. The first three to drop were out.

Jesse enforced strict rules. Greg lost his spot when his feet touched the ground, and Brownie fell soon after.

I think it’s a deadlift that killed me.

Brownie blamed fatigue piling up from earlier. Lesson learned: exhaustion carries over between events.

A Charity Twist Brought Brownie Back

Eliminated YouTubers got a shot at a wild card: whoever wrote down the biggest donation to St. Jude returned to the competition.

Brownie’s bid won the spot, and Jesse set a fundraising goal of $60,000.

The 500-Meter Row Cut the Field Again

Five athletes hit Speediance’s Gym Monster 3S, a smart home gym with up to 260 pounds of resistance and a built-in auto spotter. Goal: row 500 meters, with only three advancing.

Will lost precious seconds by forgetting to press start. Jeremy hit 500 first, with Luke and Husain right behind him.

Paddi and Will fell short. Then came another auction, and Will outbid Paddi to jump back in, raising thousands more for kids.

Tug of War Set the Final Two

Remaining athletes were sorted by weight for one-on-one pulls. Luke beat Jeremy, then Will edged Husain.

Husain admitted afterward that cardio let him down:

I didn’t have any energy left. I got to work on my cardio.

One Empty Tub Decided Everything

Finale rules: one pre-workout tub held a $100 bill. A coin flip chose Luke to open his tub first, while Will decided whether to keep or steal.

Luke reported an empty tub, and Will trusted his gut instead.

The voice crack. His breathing changed a little bit.

Will swapped tubs, opened Luke’s, and found nothing. Luke had told the truth.

I was telling you the truth. Everything was true.

Takeaways for Your Own Challenges

  • Stay still during holds: coaches urged competitors not to fidget or readjust once burning started.
  • Respect carryover fatigue: Brownie’s grip gave out after deadlifts.
  • Pick events smartly: Brody skipped deadlifts to protect a sore hamstring.
  • Train cardio too: strength alone did not save Husain.
  • Rely on teamwork: alliances shaped votes and kept Brody alive.

Everyone involved urged viewers to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, since the entire video served as a fundraiser. Luke Elsden earned the title, but the real winners were the kids.
