84-Day Study Shows Skin Elasticity Improved 19% With This Amino Acid Ratio (It’s Not About the Ingredients, It’s the Formula)

In a recent video, a clinician with decades of experience in aesthetic medicine dropped a truth bomb most content creators avoid until the final minutes—if they mention it at all.

Loose skin on your face didn’t appear overnight, and nothing will reverse it overnight either.

No cream, oil, vitamin, or gadget can undo years of accumulated damage in two weeks.

What follows is a methodical breakdown of what actually works, what doesn’t, and why most advice on this topic quietly wastes your money.

The Credentials Worth Knowing

The speaker started as a dentist, spending years studying facial bone and soft tissue from the inside out. He later qualified in anti-aging medicine, dermatology, and metabolic medicine, teaching facial structure and aesthetic medicine to clinicians in almost 40 countries.

Over 10,000 patients later, his message remains consistent: there is no single fix.

FULL-BODY TRAINING

If you want something simple that actually works, this is one of the most effective tools I’ve used to build strength, conditioning, and endurance without needing a full gym setup.

  • Full-body training with one weight using swings, squats, and presses
  • Solid cast iron build that feels stable and lasts for years
  • Comfortable grip that makes high-rep workouts easier to handle

You Might Not Have a Skin Problem at All

Before spending money, distinguish between two completely different issues that constantly get lumped together.

Think of a well-fitted leather glove. If the hand inside shrinks, the glove creases, bags, and hangs loose—but there’s nothing wrong with the leather itself.

You can feed it, condition it, polish it until it gleams. And it will still hang off because the problem wasn’t the glove.

Faces work the same way. If what changed is volume underneath your skin, then volume needs addressing—not skin quality.

Skin treatments do not address volume loss. You can improve skin enormously, but it will still hang loose over something that’s no longer there.

Ask yourself honestly: Is this skin that lost quality, a face that lost volume, or some combination? The answer changes what’s worth doing.

What Damage Actually Means

Underneath your skin sits a woven structure made of three main components:

FULL-BODY TRAINING

If you want something simple that actually works, this is one of the most effective tools I’ve used to build strength, conditioning, and endurance without needing a full gym setup.

  • Full-body training with one weight using swings, squats, and presses
  • Solid cast iron build that feels stable and lasts for years
  • Comfortable grip that makes high-rep workouts easier to handle
  • Collagen – provides tensile strength
  • Elastin – allows skin to snap back
  • Fibronectin – organizes arrangement and holds it together

Think of a good knitted jumper. When new, the knit is tight and even. After years and washes, fibers damage, the knit loosens, and elbows stay baggy.

You can’t fix that by ironing the outside. Damage lives in the structure, not on the surface.

What Damages the Structure

The most established culprit is glycation. Sugar circulating in blood at elevated levels chemically sticks onto proteins in ways the body can’t contain.

Collagen and elastin are proteins. Cross-linking forms between fibers meant to move independently, stiffening everything and stopping proper repair. Sugar welds the knit together.

Second is cellular function. Fibroblasts don’t reduce activity simply because time passed—function tracks diet, sleep, daylight, movement, metabolism, everything.

Age is largely a proxy for how long you’ve been doing whatever you’ve been doing.

The Practical Consequence

Because this is accumulated damage rather than a flipped switch, two things follow:

  1. More damage requires more time, roughly in proportion
  2. You must stop ongoing causes first

If you’re generating the same damage daily, everything described below is bailing water without plugging the leak.

Microneedling: The Most Requested Topic

Under the biggest loose skin videos, the most upvoted request is for someone to properly explain microneedling. It often goes unanswered.

Microneedling works by creating controlled injury so your repair machinery lays down new material. It genuinely reaches the structural layer—more than most treatments can claim.

But protocol depends heavily on medical history, skin presentation, and goals. An average might be up to 1mm once weekly for six weeks with a derma roller, but it varies enormously.

One protocol can noticeably improve elasticity for one person inside a month and make somebody else’s face considerably worse.

This is the one item where getting it wrong actively costs you. It’s highly technique-dependent and highly individual.

Red and Near-Infrared Light: Actual Numbers

Unlike most advice circulating online, this treatment comes with specific, actionable data.

The clinician uses near-infrared at 830nm together with red at 633nm daily. Dose reaches up to 240 J/cm² delivered over 1,200 seconds (20 minutes).

Critical spec almost nobody mentions: peak tolerance of 2nm or less. Devices that wander too far from stated wavelengths don’t deliver what’s promised—likely why many conclude the whole category does nothing.

You can’t act on “probably works.” You can act on wavelength, dose, and duration.

Topicals: Two Sensible Routes

There are two sensible approaches here, and they’re alternatives, not a stack.

Testosterone Propionate Cream

This is the only skincare the clinician uses regularly—a testosterone propionate cream applied twice daily.

Data from multi-year trials with hundreds of biopsies showed enormous improvements: skin thickness, cell numbers, cell density. Microscope images documented changes in real people over the long term.

It’s a compounded prescription product. The molecule works where rubbed in, then breaks down before doing anything elsewhere in the body.

High-Strength Niacinamide

If prescription isn’t feasible, high-strength niacinamide offers an alternative.

Critical rule: Do not layer these as separate products. If you want both, mix niacinamide powder into the testosterone cream.

Many formulations contain penetration enhancers designed to drive ingredients deeper. With testosterone propionate, the point is localized action—pushing it deeper eliminates what makes it sensible.

For the same reason, never apply immediately after microneedling. You’ve just created thousands of channels straight through the skin barrier.

What Tissue Is Actually Built From

After watching the biggest videos on loose skin, something surprised the clinician. Every video discussing nutrition mentions cofactors—vitamins C, A, E, K2—but none mention what the machinery builds tissue from.

Collagen is protein. Your body constructs it from amino acids, predominantly glycine and proline, woven into a tight triple helix.

You don’t swallow collagen and deposit it in your face. It breaks down like any protein in the stomach.

The question nobody here is asking is whether the factory has been delivered any raw material.

The most reliable answer: real animal food where amino acids are most bioavailable. Slow-cooked cuts with connective tissue attached, eggs, fish, organ meat occasionally.

Nutracos: A Nutraceutical, Not a Supplement

The clinician takes one product himself: Nutracos, two sachets daily for five years. He declares bias upfront—weigh his words accordingly.

There’s a difference between supplements and nutraceuticals. Supplements plug deficiencies. Nutraceuticals push physiology further on top of existing foundations.

  • Full-body training with one weight using swings, squats, and presses

Nutracos is a specific amino acid formulation that nudges your body into producing more of its own collagen types—not just type one—alongside elastin and fibronectin. It’s the only product in the world that does this.

It’s not the amino acids that matter—it’s the ratio between them. That’s the patent.

In an 84-day study:

  • Skin elasticity improved by just over 19%
  • Skin thickness on ultrasound increased by around 0.25mm
  • Wrinkle depth around eyes reduced by approximately 14.5%
  • Elastin gene expression measured 124% of controls in lab work on human skin cells

He’s blunt about limitations: the 84-day study was open label, and elastin figures came from cells in dishes, not living faces. Controlling for dietary amino acids in living humans is impossible for multiple reasons.

Still, he considers it good data—the best available in this category. The study is published for independent review.

Recommended course: two sachets daily for three months. He takes it year-round continuously.

Five Things That Cancel Out Everything

Here comes brutal honesty. All four steps above accomplish almost nothing if you’re:

  1. Eating heavy carbohydrate diets – generating glycation damage daily, repairing tissue with one hand while tearing it apart with the other
  2. Drinking heavily – adding oxidative damage on top
  3. Not training – missing one of the strongest signals for maintaining tissue
  4. Vitamin D deficient – cellular function across the board works uphill
  5. Sleeping badly – cutting into the window when most repair actually happens

None of these five are glamorous or sellable, which is exactly why they’re missing almost everywhere.

I checked the biggest, most thorough guide to this problem I could find runs 19 minutes and does not mention diet, blood sugar, sleep, or alcohol once.

You don’t need to live like a strict monk. If foundations are right most of the time, you can still enjoy meals out with friends.

But order matters. Stop damage first, do the work, then expect timelines roughly proportionate to how long damage took to build.

The Honest Summary

If foundations are wrong and you won’t change them, be honest—you’re not going anywhere. At that point, only laser resurfacing and facelifts genuinely help, and those cost significant money.

That’s not a threat or sales tactic. It’s arithmetic. Better to hear it plainly now than spend two years learning the slow, expensive way.

But there’s somewhere these videos rarely go: Loose skin isn’t a disease. Nothing is wrong with you for having it, and nothing is wrong with deciding you’re perfectly happy with it.

Some of the most striking faces belong to people who never did a single thing on this list.

If you want to work on it because of how it makes you feel, that’s completely valid too. The way we look changes how the world treats us—that’s undeniable.

Look after foundations, be patient for results, and be kinder to yourself about all this than the internet will be.
