Perform standard glute bridge. At top position, rotate knee outward. This combines hip extension with thoracic rotation.

Most lower back stiffness starts in the thoracic spine. It stops rotating, the lower back covers for it and then gets all the blame.

Thoracic mobility directly impacts lower back health. When thoracic spine loses rotational capacity, lumbar spine compensates beyond its design parameters.

Same seated position, but extend one leg outward while rotating. This progression increases range and joint loading significantly.
