The bioavailability of peptides varies dramatically based on administration method. Insulin serves as the perfect example of why delivery matters.

Think of igf-1 igf-1 is mostly made in the liver…at a thousand foot view the rule of thumb is you think of insulin plus growth hormone equals igf-1.

Target ranges for metabolic health:

  • Fasting insulin: 8 or below (6 or below for optimal insulin sensitivity)
  • HOMA-IR: 2 or below (measures glucose-related insulin resistance)

At the end of the day like I said they’re more similar to medications and I recommend everyone talk to their own doctor about whether or not they might be right.
