Drake is no stranger to viral moments, but his latest shirtless Instagram post has sparked more than just admiration.

The Toronto rapper flaunted a chiseled six-pack in a mirror selfie on June 27, reigniting a storm of speculation that his impressive physique might be more surgical than sweat-earned.

While some fans praised the “Nokia” artist’s dedication to fitness, others weren’t buying it — alleging that his abs are “too perfect” to be natural.

A Picture-Perfect Six-Pack — or Surgical Illusion?

Drake’s latest shirtless post wasn’t just a thirst trap — it became a lightning rod for scrutiny. In the Instagram post, he shared an introspective caption: “I’m wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it til they get it right from the type who just …type.”

But the poetic sentiment didn’t stop critics from zooming in on his abs.

Comments flooded in, with users accusing Drake of undergoing “ab etching,” a form of high-definition liposuction. One commenter joked, “Boy stop playing! The only place you ran was to the surgeon,” while another quipped, “Ordered abs from Temu n forgot to add shoulders n tri lol.”

Critics pointed to a mismatch in body proportions — specifically his chest and arms — that made the abdominal definition appear out of place. “The abs do not match the body,” one follower observed. Others chimed in with remarks like “Arms and chest sold separately” and “No shoulders, no biceps, deflated chest but extremely defined abs lmao.”

This Isn’t the First Time

Rumors of Drake enhancing his physique through surgery are hardly new. Since as early as 2020, fans and fellow artists have speculated about cosmetic enhancements. Back in April 2024, he even joked about the rumors, posting a screenshot of a conversation with his mom: “I would have got us a 2 for 1 deal if I went ma,” while blaming Rick Ross for starting the buzz.

And the shots haven’t stopped coming.

Rick Ross dubbed him “BBL Drizzy” in his diss track “Champagne Moments.” Kendrick Lamar doubled down in his searing “Euphoria” verse: “Let your core audience stomach that, then tell ’em where you get your abs from.”

Metro Boomin even joined the shade fest with a viral beat giveaway tagged “#BBLDrizzyBeatGiveaway.”

Trolls, Teasing, and Trippie Redd

As if the internet weren’t enough, Drake’s own hip-hop peers are in on the trolling. Rick Ross recently posted — and quickly deleted — a photo of dinner rolls captioned: “Found yo abs @champagnepapi 🤣🤡.” The comparison, while harsh, sent the internet into hysterics.

Trippie Redd also chimed in, commenting, “N*** built like Hulk Hogan 😭.”*

While some fans found the jabs hilarious, others questioned why Drake’s body is such a lightning rod for controversy. One user commented, “I just came here for the comments and they sure as hell delivered.”

The Role of @SurgeonMade_Curves

Adding more fuel to the fire, the popular plastic surgery commentary account @surgeonmade_curves reposted Drake’s photo, alleging he “did it again.” They claimed the rapper is “no stranger to the surgery table,” suggesting that his frequent shirtless posts were revealing more than just a fit physique — perhaps a clue to cosmetic tweaks.

The account wrote, “This man be too hype to show them abs/body and gives it away every single time.”

The Broader Conversation on Male Body Image

While the internet jokes fly, the controversy underscores a deeper issue: the pressure on male celebrities to maintain peak physical condition. Just as women in the public eye face intense scrutiny over their bodies, men like Drake are increasingly subjected to the same level of examination — and suspicion.

Whether or not Drake had help sculpting his abs, the conversation reveals how male fitness standards are shifting into unrealistic territory. It raises important questions: Can celebrities ever win when their appearance is always up for debate? And how much of what we see online should we believe?

Drake’s Silence Speaks Volumes

So far, Drake hasn’t directly responded to the latest round of plastic surgery speculation. But given his history of weaving self-aware humor into his music and social posts, a cheeky comeback might not be far off.

For now, fans are left to scroll, squint, and speculate — and Drake remains at the center of the conversation, whether he etched those abs in the gym or on a surgeon’s table.

One thing’s for sure: in the age of viral content and visual perfection, even abs can become a battlefield.
