Losing 25 pounds by August might sound ambitious, but fitness coach and content creator has broken down exactly what it takes—not just to drop weight quickly, but to keep it off for good.

In a recent video, he shared three critical steps that focus on sustainable lifestyle changes rather than quick fixes.

His approach emphasizes accountability, activity, and community support.

Plus, he’s offering a free tool to track progress along the way.

Start With Brutal Honesty About Nutrition

When working with clients, the coach always begins with one fundamental question: What does your current nutrition situation actually look like?

Most people don’t have a clear answer. They might think they understand calories, protein, carbs, and fats—but they’re often guessing.

Accountability is the most important thing. There are no foods that you have to avoid. There are no foods that you have to eat. There are no macronutrient groups, protein, carbs, fats, that you have to avoid. It all comes down to creating accountability.

The solution isn’t necessarily a strict meal plan. It’s tracking everything that goes into your body throughout the day.

The Hidden Calories Adding Up

During initial consultations, clients often discover they’ve been underestimating calorie intake dramatically. They believe they’re eating 1,500-2,000 calories daily.

But reality tells another story entirely.

When we start plugging in things like beverages, snacks, little things that they grab here and there, things that they’re not accountable, “Oh, I forgot I did that last night.” “Well, and it’s usually this, but on once or twice a week, I’m having a bigger meal.” These type of things, because we’re not being accountable, they can just add up over time and they end up being death by a thousand cuts.

This pattern creates frustrating cycles—progress for a few days, followed by setbacks that erase gains. Without accountability, meaningful change becomes nearly impossible.

Build Long-Term Habits, Not Short-Term Fixes

Reaching ambitious goals requires becoming a different person—someone who manages time better, plans ahead consistently, and takes responsibility for choices.

The thing that I don’t want you to do is take up some type of a diet approach, take up a jab, take up something that is going to be a short-term solution, but a long-term problem for yourself.

Download a calorie tracking app. Log everything honestly. Watch patterns emerge that reveal where improvements can happen naturally.

Move More—Way More Than You Think

According to the coach, one factor dominates why people struggle with excess weight: We simply don’t move enough.

Modern life revolves around sitting—chairs at work, cars for transportation, couches at home. Average daily activity levels have plummeted to shockingly low numbers.

Walking: Your Secret Weapon

While “cardio” sounds intimidating to many, walking provides an accessible entry point that everyone can utilize. Your phone already tracks steps through built-in health apps.

The coach recommends a simple formula: Check your current daily step count, then multiply by three.

For most people, that means aiming for approximately 9,000 steps per day.

I promise you, you start getting 9,000 steps per day, which is going to force you to put your shoes on, go out the door, and go for a walk.

This increase will trigger immediate changes in body composition and hunger signals. Walking qualifies as cardio since it elevates heart rate—but without the intimidation factor of running.

Why Walking Beats Traditional Cardio

Despite maintaining very low body fat, the coach never runs. His approach centers entirely on walking and low-intensity steady-state cardio variations.

I understand that low intensity steady state cardio or walking and all of its variations are going to have a much bigger impact on my hunger, my ability to recover, and my ability to maintain the look that I’m after.

Walking doesn’t exhaust you. It doesn’t spike hunger dramatically. Nobody ever complains that walking feels impossible to accomplish.

Sneaky Ways To Add Steps

Even busy schedules offer hidden opportunities for movement:

  • Kids’ sports practices: Walk around fields instead of sitting for 90 minutes
  • Airport downtime: Arrive early and walk terminals before flights
  • Lunch breaks: Take calls while walking on a treadmill
  • Home investment: Purchase a treadmill for convenient indoor walking

There are ways that we can incorporate more activity into our daily lives, and you are going to find that this is without a doubt going to be the biggest thing that’s going to help you lose that 25 lb by August.

Realistic Weight Loss Expectations

Safe, sustainable fat loss targets depend on starting point:

  • BMI over 30: Aim for 1-1.5% of body weight weekly
  • BMI under 30: Target closer to 1% weekly, possibly slightly less

Someone at 25-30% body fat can drop multiple pounds weekly because the body readily uses stored fat for energy. However, someone already lean faces greater difficulty losing 1% weekly.

Join a Support Community

Transformation happens more successfully with support. That’s why the coach created a free walking Facebook group currently running the 6330 challenge.

Participants walk daily for 60 minutes at 6% incline and 3 mph speed. Both the coach and group members are experiencing visible changes while supporting each other’s progress.

Every day for 1 hour or 60 minutes, I’m walking at an incline six, speed 3 mph, and I’m seeing changes. And the people in the group are seeing changes. And we’re supporting each other.

For those wanting personalized guidance, free coaching consultations are available. The coach and his team at Physique offer one-on-one conversations to create customized blueprints.

Additional free resources include calculators and community access—all designed to provide tools for taking control without financial barriers.
